Our concept is to brew “the beer we want to drink ourselves.
Since we started brewing in 2004, and began hop farming in 2006, we ambitiously aimed to create a one-of-a-kind beer that could stand up on the world stage. To achieve this, we decided to get involved in raw material production ourselves, starting from scratch with the fields in a region that was once the leading hop-producing area in Japan until the late 1950s.

Tamamura Brewery is located at the foot of Shiga Kogen in Nagano. The brewery was founded in 1805 by the first generation, Kisoji, and its name, Tamamura, is derived from Joshu Tamamura village, where he trained. For over 200 years, the sake brewed here, benefiting from the clear water, clear air, and cold climate, has been loved by many.

Since 2004, we have also started brewing Shiga Kogen Beer and Yamabushi, even engaging in raw material farming, including hops. 
We pursue creating flavors unique to this region and beers we ourselves want to drink, enjoying every step of the process.

Going forward, we aim to craft distinct unique flavors rather than uniform, mass-appeal beverages. We are committed to creating distinctive local sake on an appropriate scale with meticulous attention to quality.
