Natural Sake Flight: Low-Polishing Rate Rice
Just as rice we eat is polished from brown to white, sake brewing involves polishing rice. Terms like “ginjo” and “daiginjo” reflect the degree of polishing, simply meaning that the rice has been highly polished for a refined taste. While heavily polished sake tends to be smooth and clear, there’s a growing trend toward less-polished sake, where the “roughness” and “character” of the rice shine through.
This set features carefully selected low-polishing sake. Perfect for those who may not have the best impression of sake or haven’t tried much before, it showcases the wide flavor range Japanese sake has to offer. Made with organic rice, known as “natural sake,” these selections are crafted to be gentle on the body, so you can enjoy with peace of mind.
This tasting set includes three varieties of natural pure rice sake, each with a polishing ratio of 80%. Sample a variety of flavors, as if you were at a sake shop, with rice varieties Yamadanishiki, Omachi, and Toyonishiki providing unique experiences in every sip.
Each bottle label is marked “A,” “B,” and “C,” so you can guess which sake is which while you taste—perfect for a sake-tasting experience. Enjoy a virtual tasting party by purchasing the same set with friends and sharing your impressions online!
